When there was no civilization in human history the ancient Homo Sapience cave people tried to draw images in cave. Their amazing visual thoughts is today’s cave painting. In the ancient time the pictures were not metaphoric. They draw what they had seen. They were the first Environmental Portrait artist. From their work we’re now familiar with the mighty Mammoth or Giant Tigers. And today’s modern Archaeologist proved those gigantic creatures were present in pre civilized period. They’ve fossils of those creatures now.
Apart from the cave people the early painters draw and sketch human portraits on their canvas. Those days solvent people tried to capture their portraits with the help of the painters. Oil-ink was widely used for this work. On those pre historic photographic period painters were the portrait artist for the rich people. Those portraits are still in our museum. So the modern portraiture concept from the paintings where portrait was exact replica of human face and gesture.
From the history of photography early photographers were painters mostly. They adopt photography or photographic technique to reduce their time on drawing human portraits. Photography came to their door as Prometheus with fire. In early age photography was the main tool to draw portraits.
Now in this modern era we’ve so many tools to draw or to capture. As capturing a moment is very easy now so the definition or purpose of photography or any visual arts is changed today. Portraiture of any kind is more metaphoric and dynamic. So today’s Portraiture is not only capturing the right moment and expression but a philosophical explanation of situation and environment and politics. Portraits is not only the reflection of time but also a story now. Behind all portraits there is lots of colorful stories now. Even a footprint of a labor is meaningful now a days because that is the expression of environment belonging
I used to be a Panacea and now I am drowning. May be I am searching something or I just don’t want to do something but my pain is killing me with every single bit of my heart. Can’t stay at home nor leave it.

I took this photograph about 3years ago in my village. I found this photo after years in my old hard disk. I am really lucky! Yes I am! I am loving this photo. This was taken with a a Nikon D40 with 55mm lens. I have already posted this in my Flickr.
ছোটবেলায় পাঠ্য বইয়ের একটা বিষয় ছিল সামাজিক বিজ্ঞান। সেখানে পরিবারের সংজ্ঞা ছিল। সেটা আমাদের শিক্ষক মুখস্ত করিয়ে নিতেন। কিছুই বুঝি নি। একটু বড় হয়ে গেলে বাবা-মা জোর করে পাঠিয়ে দিলেন স্কুলের হোস্টেলে তাই আবারো পরিবার ছাড়া। ঐ পারিবারিক বিচ্ছিন্নতা আর ঘুচলো না। বড় হতে থাকলাম পরিবার ছাড়া। মানে যে পরিবারের সংজ্ঞা আমার বাল্যবইয়ে ছিল “আমাদের বাবা-মা, ভাই-বোন, দাদা-দাদী, চাচা-চাচি সবাইকে নিয়ে আমাদের পরিবার।” বাল্যকালের শিক্ষা! না বুঝতে শেখা পরিবার!

ছবির পাখিটা অনেক বেশী পরিচিত সবার কাছে। একজন নিকটজনদের মতোন এই পাখি। যদিও ঢাকায় এর দেখা মেলে না। ইটের বস্তিতে এরা থাকে না।
আমার মা এই পাখিকে ডাকেন ক্যাচকেচি পাখি। তার কাছ থেকে আমিও এটা শিখেছি।

I took this shot from Jahangir Nagar University Campus, in TSC area. This tree was a Banyan Tree. This bird with his folks was dancing over the branches of that tree. The number of birds was some hundreds. They were eating the fruits of the tree. And they looked very happy (may be the meal was really delicious) while they’re singing and dancing.
পাখিটার বাংলা নাম ভুলে গেছি। সুন্দর একটা নাম আছে। কেউ্ দয়াকরে আপডেট করে দিন। আমার পাখি বিষয়ক জ্ঞান অনেক কম। এই ছবিটাও আমার ফ্লিকারে আপলোড করেছি।

বরাবরের মতোন এই ছবিটাও তুলেছি জাহাঙ্গীর নগর বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় এলাকা থেকে। আসলে আমি অনেক বেশী ছবি তুলেছি সেখানে।
এখনো আমার কাছে র ফরম্যাটে ছবি জমে আছে ৫০০০এরও বেশি। এখন প্রতিদিন একটা দু’টা করে ঠিক করছি প্রতিদিন।
এই ছবিটা আমার পছন্দ। ডেফ্ত অব ফিল্ড অনেক ইন্টারেস্টিং। ব্যাকগ্রাউন্ড ব্লার তাই আরো মজার।
পাখিটার নাম কসাই পাখি (অনেকে একে মাংস চোর হিসেবে চেনে)। এর ইংরেজি নাম আমি জানি না। কেউ দযা করে জানান।

আজ হঠাৎ মনে পড়ল পেইজফ্লেক্সের কম্প্যাক্ট ফ্রেমওয়ার্কের কথা। সেই ব্যবহার করে আমি আজকে আপনাদের আমার ছবি দেখালাম। দেখুন কেমন হলো।

ছবিটা তুলেছিলাম জাহাঙ্গীর নগর বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় ক্যাম্পাস থেকে। ট্রাইপড ব্যবহার করেছিলাম। অনেক আগের তোলা।
অনেকদিন পরে আমার ফ্লিকারে পোস্ট করলাম।
ছবিটির শিরোনাম Dry Love. আমি তাই আমার পোস্টের শিরোনাম দিলাম বিবর্ণ ভালোবাসা। যদিও জানি না ভালোবাসার রং আসলে কোনটা। তারপরেও যেটিই হোক, তা বিবর্ণ হয় হয়তো!

ছবিটা মিরপুর থেকে তোলা। মিরপুর-ঢাকা। আমি এই শহরে বাস করি। প্রায় এক বছর আগে তুলেছিলাম। কোন বর্ণনার প্রয়োজন আছে কি?
ছবির মানুষটার নাম মনে নেই। তবুও একটু পরিচিতি পর্ব ফরমার আকারে দিচ্ছি।

এইভাবে দেয়ার অর্থ হলো আমি ওনার পোট্রেট করেছি। যদিও তাকে চিনি গ্রাম্যসূত্রে, তবুও তিনি আমার মডেল।
ছবিটা আনুমানিক ৩বছর আগের তোলা। তারিখ মনে নেই।
এবার ঈদে বাড়ি যাচ্ছি না। ঈদের পরে যাব। এবার গিয়ে পোট্রেট কালেকশন বাড়িয়ে ফেলব। দেখা যাক কী হয়!
One of the oldest labor in my village. In my childhood he made lots of bamboo stuff for me. Sometimes he made kites and some times trap to catch birds (dove). He is the best person with Bamboo.
His two sons was my game mate. In my village we raised all together and our entertainment was football. His son was the best goal keeper “Ershadul”.
I took this picture about a year ago with a Nikon D40. In this age he is tired of his physiology. Lots of suffering he is carrying right now but still he can work. He and his bamboo! The day I took this picture he was working with some bamboo stuff. Thanks for being my model Mr. Bamboo!
আমার দুরন্তপনা শৈশবের অনেক উপকারি অধ্যায় এই মানুষটির হাতে সূচিত। বাঁশ দিয়ে হরেক রকমের কাজ করতে পছন্দ করে লোকটি। আজ সে বৃদ্ধ। বয়সের ভারে কিছুটা নত। তবুও কাজ তার থেমে নেই। কুড়িগ্রামে কাজ না করলে খাবে কি?
ইটের ভাটায় শ্রমিকেরা এইভাবেই ঘুমায়। অনেকটা খোলা আকাশের নীচে। মাটিতে খর বিছিয়ে ঘুম। ছবিটা প্রায় দুই বছর আগের তোলা। আমাদের ভাটা থেকে। কুড়িগ্রামে।
এই লোকগুলোন ইট তৈরি করার কাজ করে। ভাটায় কয়েক প্রকারের শ্রমিক থাকে। কুড়িগ্রামের প্রচন্ড শীতে তাদের সম্বল সামান্য কাঁথা।
I took this photo from my village about 2years ago from our brick field. These labors were working there. Most of them are under 14. Child workers are fighting in this picture against poverty. Kurigram has the highest level of poor people. There is a special terms for this is “Monga”. Monga means costly. When peoples’ necessary needs went beyond their ability that is MONGA.
Only some heavy industry can solve this Monga problem where lots of employment will be created. Small industry like brick field is doing this small job in Kurigram.
ছবিটা আমার বাড়ির পাশ থেকে তোলা। রায়গঞ্জ, কুড়িগ্রাম। কুড়িগ্রামের ইটের ভাটা গুলোতে মহিলা শ্রমিকদের উপস্থিতি লক্ষণীয়। প্রায় ২বছর আগের তোলা ছবি এটি। গতকাল রাতে আমার ফ্লিকারে ছবিটা পোস্ট করি।
কাঁচা ইটের ওজন অনেক বেশী হয়। এই কাজ সাধারণত মহিলারা করেন না। ইটের ভাটায় মহিলারা মূলত রাবিশ পরিষ্কার, ভাঙা ইট সরিয়ে ফেলা, কয়লা সরবরাহ করা এবং ফিল্ড পরিচ্ছন্ন রাখার কাজ করে থাকেন। সবার মজুরি হয় প্রতিদিনের হিসেবে।
