<<এই হচ্ছে আজকের গানের কথা। হুট করে একটা সুর মাথায় এল সাথে সাথে এই কথাগুলোন বসিয়ে দিলাম। হয়ে গেল গান। অনেক দিন পরে আবার এই চর্চা। আমার মনে হয় পাপমোচন পর্ব চলছে। লিখতে শুরু করলাম। উদ্দেশ্যহীন লেখালিখি।

তবে ইদানিং ছবি তুলতে পারছি না। ইচ্ছেও হচ্ছে না। এটা খারাপ না ভাল জানি না। তবে ইচ্ছার বিরুদ্ধে কিছু না করাই ভালো। তাই ভাবছি ছবি তুলব না। তবে এবার ঈদে বাড়িতে গিয়ে কিছু ছবি তুলেছি, একটা পোস্ট করে দিচ্ছি।

I am very familiar with bricks field since I was a kid as it is my family business. I have studied bricks industries years and found some issue. Though it is a cause of pollution and global warming but in some cases places like Kurigram where  no industries persist it is helpful. It helps people not to migrate to cities. Also this industries help fighting against poverty.

Workers are carrying raw bricks from the stock into burning chamber. In Kurigram district there are no industries except bricks manufacturing industries.

Chimney of Bricks Field. Previously there was no fixed chimney. As those were threat to nature due to massive pollution Government enforce manufacturers to use 120ft tall fixed chimney. Though pollution level is minimal but it is a great initiator for Global Warming.

Using wood is restricted in Bricks Field by Government. These dead bamboo roots are using as supplementary fuel to bricks field with coal. Climate victims from Brahmaputra river side are the main supplier of bamboo roots.

After the burning process Red Bricks are collected. Workers need to work in dusty atmosphere. One Thousand red bricks harvesting cost is 50Tk (73cents). Workers make 150-200Tk per day by this job.

Dead bamboo roots are not suitable to burn in a raw position. Workers are chopping and sorting the roots to burn.

Brick producing workers are very poor. They don't live in a house which is built by bricks.

This is the main carrier to supply bamboo roots, bricks, soil in a brick filed at Kurigram. Condition is as like as the workers.

Child labor is a prime at bricks field at Kurigram. High level of poverty bound them to work from childhood.

Female workers is a major in bricks field. Unfortunately their wage is less than male workers.

This is my friend Rashid. I used to play with him on my childhood. He is now a red-bricks puller. It could be me if I wasn't born in a rich family.

This is story of dust because in a brick field just is the superior visible and invisible substances. Most of the cases worker of this arena suffered from lung diseases.  If owners aware the workers to use a mask on their face that will be a great help to them.

My class teacher gave an assignment on environmental portraiture. He suggested us to pick a subject for the next 3month. I chose Global Warming and Impacts. Here is the first three photos of my project.

This is Akbar Ali who is a Rickshaw Puller from Kurigram. The water level of Brahmaputra River during rainy season is increasing harmonically every year. And destruction by the river is massive now a day. People are losing their lands and become poor. He is one of them.

Rahman, Rickshaw Puller, Kurigram. Victim. He used be a Boatman. Now the river is too big to carry people with a manual boat. Big boys implemented machine boat their for ferry. He lost his job.

অনেক দিন কিছু লিখি নাই। আজকে চেষ্টা করছি। দেখা যাক!

একটু আগ পর্যন্ত একটা হিন্দি সিনেমা দেখছিলাম “ওয়েক আপ সিড”। ভালো লাগল। অনেক দিন পর দেখা কোন হিন্দি সিনেমা। একটা বিত্তবান পরিবারের ছেলের বড় হয়ে ওঠার গল্প। মুম্বাইয়ের হাই সোসাইটি’র কচকচানি। খারাপ না। অবশ্য খোঁজ নেয়া দরকার এটা কোন ফিল্মের কপি। আমি বিশ্বাস করি না ইন্ডিয়ানদের মাথা থেকে এই আইডিয়া এসেছে। ইন্ডিয়া আর চায়না একই জাতি আসলে। একজন কপি করে প্রডাক্ট আর একজন আইডিয়া। Copied Ideas Changed their Life.

এখন আমি শুয়ে শুয়ে লিখছি বসার ঘরে। ঘুমাতে হবে। সকালে আমার মায়ের পাঠানো খাবার আনতে যেতে হবে শ্যামলী বাস কাউন্টার। অনেক আগে ঘুমাতে যাওয়ার কথা ছিল। হলো না। আমি এমনই। ৫ডিসেম্বর থেকে পাঠশালা (South Asian Institute of Photography) খোলা। সুতরাং আবারো ক্লাস। ক্লাশ খুলেই এসাইনমেন্ট জমা; বিষয় আত্মপ্রতিকৃতি। আমার সেল্ফ পোর্ট্রেট এখানে দিয়ে দিলাম।

This clouds I captured from the village Nowdabash of Fulbari Upozilla of Kurigram Distrcit, Bangladesh. This is my Grand Mother’s (Mother) village.

Photos were taken from my village Rangalirbas of Nageshwari Upozilla from District of Kurigram, Bangladesh. Equipment I used was a Canon 5D MarkII Camera with a 70-200mm Canon IS Lseries lens. Used a professional Menfrotto Tripod.

Happy Solar Eclipse!

I used to be a Panacea and now I am drowning. May be I am searching something or I just don’t want to do something but my pain is killing me with every single bit of my heart. Can’t stay at home nor leave it.

Should I pray? To whom?

I took this photograph about 3years ago in my village. I found this photo after years in my old hard disk. I am really lucky! Yes I am! I am loving this photo. This was taken with a a Nikon D40 with 55mm lens. I have already posted this in my Flickr.

One of the oldest labor in my village. In my childhood he made lots of bamboo stuff for me. Sometimes he made kites and some times trap to catch birds (dove). He is the best person with Bamboo.

His two sons was my game mate. In my village we raised all together and our entertainment was football. His son was the best goal keeper “Ershadul”.

I took this picture about a year ago with a Nikon D40. In this age he is tired of his physiology. Lots of suffering he is carrying right now but still he can work. He and his bamboo! The day I took this picture he was working with some bamboo stuff. Thanks for being my model Mr. Bamboo!

I took this photo from my village about 2years ago from our brick field. These labors were working there. Most of them are under 14. Child workers are fighting in this picture against poverty. Kurigram has the highest level of poor people. There is a special terms for this is “Monga”. Monga means costly. When peoples’ necessary needs went beyond their ability that is MONGA.

Only some heavy industry can solve this Monga problem where lots of employment will be created. Small industry like brick field is doing this small job in Kurigram.
