Finally I got my perfect tool to write Bangla. I was a bijoy layout guy. Was thinking in past 7month to shift into a phonetic layout. Tried almost all phonetic and went back to Bijoy again and again. Few days ago found Google Transliteration which was great but wasn’t my type. It has some issues with Fullstop (Dari or Devnagari Danda). Quit that too. Finally found a solution from Microsoft. It is Microsoft Transliteration for Bangla. I am enjoying it. Now I am writing in Bangla faster than before (Bijoy). Please go to http://specials.msn.co.in/ilit/Bengali.aspx and download the program and install. Then follow this steps:

Enabling Indic Language Support

1. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Regional and Language Options.
2. On the Languages tab, select the Install files for complex script and right-to-left languages (including Thai) check box.

   

3. Click on Details.
4. On the Advanced tab, select the Extend support of advanced text services to all programs check box.

   

5. Click OK to dismiss the Text Services and Input Languages window.
6. Click OK to dismiss the Regional and Language Options window.
   You may be asked to insert the Windows XP installation media during this process.
   A restart may be necessary to complete the process.

Using Microsoft Indic Language Input Tool (“ILIT”)

Do the following to use Microsoft ILIT in any application, such as Microsoft Word:

1. Open the application in which you would like to enter Indic text.
2. Change the language using the language bar, which typically appears in the taskbar as follows.

   

3. The language bar will now show the current language.

   

4. You can now start typing in English and whatever you type automatically gets transliterated after a word-breaking character like a space, comma, etc. is entered. Note that this language setting is per application. You may have to repeat the steps above for each application you want to use Microsoft ILIT in.

Few days ago I went IDB Bhaban, the largest Computer Hardware market in Bangladesh and found a major changes there. Most of the shop are selling various antivirus software and subscription license. Asked few of the seller about customer response and they replied positively. I was happy. At last people are purchasing software license. Very good news for Bangladesh where piracy is in wild range.

Then I visited one of the Microsoft OEM partner there and the shop replied people are purchasing OEM Operating Systems. Very good news indeed. Then I asked who are the consumer of antivirus software like Kaspersky, Norton, Bit Defender, Avast then they replied “The users who are using pirated windows operating system they are the customers”. Then I got the picture. The genuine windows users are using Microsoft Security Essential for their Malware protection purpose. Then I asked the shop “why not you’re suggesting users to purchase original Operating System so that they can avoid costing on antivirus program?” They were pale on that question. Because Microsoft’s Security Essential is free software and they can’t make money on it.

In my opinion Microsoft Security Essential is one of the best antivirus software I have ever seen. All you need a genuine windows nothing else. It can be install on all versions of windows. And it’ll update its engine automatically for the life time. No subscription fee required. I am using this since it was in beta.

The facts:

For other antivirus program you need to subscribe yearly with 10$~50$. That means for 3 years you need at least 30$~150$ which is equivalent to a genuine OEM Operating System. With the genuine operation system your computer will have all the latest security updates and performance issues updated all the time. That’ll be a great advantage for the users who are always seeking for the best performance.

And using the genuine operating system will give you the confident that you’re not into piracy. So why you need a pirated operating system?

I wrote several times that Microsoft Windows Live Writer is my favorite tool to write blog. Few days ago it came with great surprise: Windows Live Essential 2011 was released. It came with Windows Live Writer 2011.

In this new version the basic functionality seems to be untouched and huge changes in User Interface. The interfacing is more like Microsoft’s Office Suite. I am ok with it. But new Windows Live Messenger surprised me a lot. In this new version messenger is Social now! I can add my Facebook and LinkedIn account with it. The live feed can show my Facebook and linkedin updates now. Even I can post my comments on feed from live messenger. Love it!

After this impact Skype surprised me by adding social feature. The new Skype 5.0 has integrated Facebook. Now I can add my Facebook account on it and can share my updates directly from it. Isn’t it great? I am loving it!

Now I am counting on Yahoo messenger. I believe this company will follow the same path but I wonder why they’re always the last!

The reasons I am still using Windows platform are Microsoft Office Suits and Live Writer. I am not a regular blogger but really very fancy about it. I need the fantastic windows live writer. I am really happy.

Microsoft Outlook is my favorite tool to manage Contacts, Tasks, Calendars and Mails. This is my primary RSS reader too. Few months back I installed Office 2010 x64 version and this story began.

As I have multiple workstations and laptops and have some none exchange email accounts to manage so need a tool to synchronize Contacts and Calendars. Lucky me, plaxo (www.plaxo.com) did this part for the last few years. After getting into x64 platform of office this great tool failed to work. Enough nightmare!

Again my windows mobile 6.1 phone got stack. Windows mobile center can’t recognize outlook x64! Pretty funny, huh? Tried all technet forums, facebook groups and personally informed some friends at Microsoft and the result is zero! Microsoft doesn’t care. Still I wonder why they’ve introduce x64 version of office 2010?

Today I have uninstalled Office 2010 x64 and installed Office 2010 x86 again. Dear Microsoft thanks for creating some hundreds registry entry. Thanks a lot!

Sorry to say: Microsoft is not ready for x64 yet!

Today I tried Adobe Contribute CS5 for writing blog and posted one entry http://bit.ly/a8SXuk <<here. Found lots of problem and bugs. First of all it didn’t integrate my tags in WordPress. The insertion of object is really difficult here.

The best thing in Contribute is: After using it I just tuning up my Windows Live Writer with some use plug ins. Now I am quite OK with it. Thank you Microsoft for the greatest tool for blogging!

Now can anyone tell me why I’ll not use windows? Man can afford a mac. Because mac doesn’t have a similar tool like Live Writer.

As you know my laptop is broken. That was a Dell XPS M1330 with 2.6Hz Core 2 Duo Processor (6MB), 4GB RAM and nvidia 9400GS AGP. Unlikely the AGP is broken. As that was purchased from USA so I have to send it back to USA to claim my warranty. I have 3years of warranty with accidental care. After this disaster I had purchased a Low-End Desktop (celeron) and that was bad choice. So again I have to change it. I love to work with my photos and videos so a high-end computer was required. To meet my tech-hunger I have purchased this machine. Here is the summary:

The G45 Express and GMA X4500 HD

The G45 Express chipset is a step up from older Intel-based budget chipsets. It supports front-side bus speeds up to 1333 MHz, PCIe 2.0, DDR2 800 or DDR3 1066, and a whole mess of SATA ports through the ICH10 controller hub. The DG45ID in particular is a DDR2 motherboard, so that somewhat limits our memory bandwidth. It’s pretty small as MicroATX boards go.

There are six SATA ports and no IDE ports at all, so you’ll need to make sure you use a SATA optical drive. There is one PCIe x16 graphics slot, two x1 PCIe expansion slots, and a single PCI slot. Note that this motherboard does not support the really high-wattage Intel processors; the fastest supported chips are the quad-core Q9550 or the dual-core E8500.

Looking at the back plane, we see a whopping six USB ports, firewire, eSATA, five analog audio jacks, a TOSLINK optical audio output, and gigabit Ethernet. There are two digital video outputs—dual-link DVI and HDMI. 7.1 audio is supported through the IDT 92HD73E audio codec.

The GMA X4500 HD graphics in the G45 chipset is a relatively minor upgrade to the old GMA 3100/3500 in previous boards. It’s a very similar part, only with 10 unified shader processors instead of 8, running at a higher clock speed. Intel says it’s 2–3 times as fast as the GMA 3100 and as much as 70% faster than the GMA 3500 found on G35-based motherboards.

The X4500 HD is built on a 65nm manufacturing process, as opposed to the 90nm technology used to build the GMA 3xxx. The process shrink is what enabled the extra shader processors and higher clock speed.

Intel claims that the GMA X4500 HD supports DirectX 10, as the GMA 3500 did (with the right driver update). We tried it and it only "sort of" works. It’s far too slow to be usable even in the most forgiving of DX10 titles, and even with all the details turned way down. It’s also a little buggy—the Parallax Occlusion Map test in 3DMark Vantage crashes the system, and we saw little white dots all over the place when running Crysis in DX10 mode (at low settings).

So while DX10 may be a "bullet point" for Intel here, you might as well ignore the fact that it exists. No DX10 title runs well enough to even enable DX10 mode, even if they all ran perfectly (which they don’t).

The IEE-1394a port is an advantage for me. I can work with my HDCAM h
ere directly. And also the eSATA port is fine. I love it.In Bangladesh all general users use the SATA controller as IDE bridge. They don’t know about the AHCI. The Intel Matrix Storage Device driver can solve this problem on OS Loading time. I did it.As I am using 8GB of RAM so 32bit OS can’t use it all so I am using Windows Vista Ultimate 64Bit.I am enjoying the built-in sound card. It is fantastic. Here is a screen shot!

I am still not connected any Extra AGP or SoundCard. I am more than happy with the Built-In things.

And the view, My 22inch Wide Screen LCD Monitor. I can see two A4 size paper at same time on it. And I am really enjoying Adobe Photoshop and Camera RAW 4.5 with it. I calibrated it. Thanks goes to intel Gamma.

But there is some problem, intel should add more technical description in the bios setup area. So that user can customize the system comfortably.

Can anyone suggest me how can I build a machine which rating will be 7+? I am still curious on that. Dear Microsoft can you please tell me what is the standard of a 10rated machine? Please don’t suggest I have to purchase a Latest Super Computer.
